T Levels for

health and healthcare science

At our Industry Excellence Academy you can study one of the brand-new Health and Healthcare Science T Level qualifications or Transition Programmes. They have been developed in collaboration with employers, and combine theory, practical and classroom learning with a minimum 45-day industry placement. If you opt to take a T Level you will spend 20% of your time on an industry placement and 80% in the classroom. 

If you’re interested in working in a medical or scientific profession, our courses will help you gain an understanding of the health and science sector including; providing person-centred care, core science concepts or infection prevention and control and much more. You will also develop deeper levels of knowledge and skills on your chosen subject whilst gaining industry experience.

TRANSITION PROGRAMMES

If you haven’t quite achieved the grades for a T Level there is the option of a Transition Programme, which are Level 2, one-year programmes that will then allow you to progress on to a T Level.

Those successful in gaining a place on our T Levels will be eligible for the ‘T Award’, a package of benefits that includes:

  • £300 per year bursary*
  • Free branded work wear
  • Access to industry standard technologies
  • Guaranteed progression to a Higher Education course at UCEN Manchester
  • And much more

jump start programme 

The Jump Start to T Levels programme is a two-week introduction to our Industry Excellence Academy, T Levels and T Level Transition Programmes.

Topics covered on the programme includes:

  • Health – Effective communication, Person Centred care, Health education
  • Healthcare Science – Handling data, Infection control, Health and Safety of environment
  • And much more

Completion of the Jump Start programme is an entry requirement of our T Level and Transition Programmes.
