T Levels for Construction

At our Industry Excellence Academy, you can study one of our Construction T Level qualification or T Level Foundation Year programmes. They have been developed in collaboration with employers, and combine theory, practical and classroom learning with a minimum 15-day (Foundation Year) or 45-day (T Level) industry placement. If you opt to take a T Level, you will spend 20% of your time on an industry placement and 80% in the classroom.

The programmes of study within our Industry Excellence Academy have been co-developed with industry partners. Working so closely with employers means you’ll benefit from courses that are aligned with current industry skills demand, as well as a range of industry-level activities and lessons.

Once you complete your journey in our Industry Excellence Academy for Construction you will have the qualifications you need to take the next steps towards an amazing career as well as the experience and skills that will help you stand out to future employers.

This will include masterclasses and lessons delivered by industry experts, visits from guest speakers at the forefront of the industry and opportunities to work on live briefs that will enable you to develop the skills and confidence you’ll need once you begin your career in the construction industry.

Demand is high for skilled trades people, construction managers, quantity surveyors and more in Greater Manchester, offering young people endless opportunities in the construction industry. You’ll be learning in a fully simulated working environment with industry standard equipment, which includes 25 specialist construction workshops and bespoke areas for scaffolding, refrigeration, and fire sprinkle installation to name a few.

If you haven’t quite achieved the grades for a T Level there is the option of a Foundation Year Programme, which is a Level 2, one-year programme that will then allow you to progress on to a T Level.
