Industry EXCELLENCE ACADEMY FOR science

Advancing your understanding of science will open doors to a plethora of exciting careers, covering everything from food and clothing technology to biomedical science, microbiology, pharmacology and forensic science.

In our Industry Excellence Academy for Science you’ll be able to develop your knowledge, acquiring the skills you need to start a rewarding career in which you will experiment, research and advance any number of things that touch our daily lives.

You’ll learn how science can be applied to a range of modern-day challenges and issues, learning how to experiment and look for solutions. You’ll apply these skills to a range of problems and challenges across a number of disciplines.

If a career working in the science sector still appeals to you but you aren’t yet ready for our Industry Excellence Academy, you can start at our Centre of Excellence for Science. Here you’ll be able to gain the skills required to progress into the Academy under the guidance of our expert team!

Once you’ve completed your journey with us there are a number of different career options open to you in the science sector, ranging from Clinical Research Associates to Biomedical Scientists, with an average annual salary of £28,181 in the sector

Available Courses

In our Industry Excellence Academy for Science you’ll study a course that has been co-developed, and is co-delivered, by one of our leading industry partners. You’ll complete either a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and a placement with an industry employer of at least 15 days. 

By the time you complete your time in the Industry Excellence Academy for Science you’ll have developed an in-depth knowledge of this sector and gained work experience with industry leaders.

These range from clinical research associates, with an average annual salary of £26,100, through to biomedical scientists that earn an average of £40,100 a year.
